Jessica Turner is an exceptional student and an even better human being. While maintaining a 4.0 grade point average, she volunteered her time to various non-profits and she has served on several organizations. Jessica assisted in running activities for Girls’ Engineering Exploration Day, directed an event in a high school Science Olympiad, and celebrated annual MLK Day of Service by helping at the South Oakland Homeless Shelter. She's a member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers, the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers.
Jessica’s academic excellence and leadership qualities have earned her invitations to join three different Honor Societies: the Tau Beta Pi – Engineering Honor Society, the Etta Kappa Nu – Electrical Engineering Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honour Society. In addition, she received many scholarships and awards, including the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship, the Honor Scholars Award, the University of Michigan Chancellor’s Scholarship, and the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize.
