What makes you a Difference Maker?
I believe that over my long career at UM-Dearborn, my accomplishments and goals have all been driven by a strong work ethic and will to represent our college in a positive light. I strive to be different and work with an unorthodox work ethic to achieve goals that are beneficial to oneself and his creed.
Campus Achievements:
Emerging Leader and Leadership Synergy at the past 2 Student Leadership awards, constantly recommended by the Greek Coordinator (Kristin McDonough) and am an extremely hard worker as a University Ambassador for Kris Day.
Leadership Experiences:
On campus, I have held a leadership position within my Fraternity for the past three years (Social, Recruitment and 2nd Vice President). I have been involved in Student Government, Albanian-American Student Association and Latino Student Association. I am a founding member of the Interfraternity Council and was Vice President of Greek Leadership Council. Over the course of all of my positions, I have constantly reached out to other organizations to increase diversity and inclusion for all students.
Off campus, I have held an internship and current full-time position with Quicken Loans in Downtown Detroit. This internship and career (along with being a full time student) has taught me many leadership skills that I have been able to implement back to my leadership positions at UM-Dearborn.
What is your Dream Career?
My career goal is to be an Industrial Psychologist and implement human resource solutions at private companies nationwide.
My long-term goal is to learn as much as I can every day for the rest of my life. Learning and applying knowledge are at my core and motivate me to be better every day.
What was your Most Defining Moment at UM-Dearborn?
My most defining moment of my UM-Dearborn career is being initiated into Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. This moment was very crucial to my development and growth as a student in college. This fraternity has allowed me to grow, learn and work for the goals that I set. They also bestowed me the best tools and skills that allowed me to build connections with important people and even earn a job (my current job). Delta Sigma Phi has been the core of my DNA and has contributed so much to my work ethic and motivation. Being a UM-Dearborn student is all about working for the goals that we set and never giving up on the things that matter the most to us.
