Kristin McDonough is the consummate volunteer. Between 2004 and 2010, she offered her time and talent to more than a dozen volunteer organizations, including the Gleaners Community Food Bank, the Special Olympics Michigan, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the March of Dimes, and the American Cancer Society. In so doing, she has made a real difference in the lives of the homeless, people with disabilities, and people suffering from cancer and the chronic lung disease cystic fibrosis, among others.
Kristin is also a born leader. In addition to her services to national and local organizations, she has played a leading role in various student organizations. She founded, and served as the co-president of the Order of Omega Leadership Honor Society, and she held various senior positions on the Student Organizations Advisory Council, the Greek Leadership Council, Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority and the National Panhellenic Council. Despite all her volunteer commitments, Kristin has managed to keep her grades up, earning an academic achievement scholarship and making the Dean’s List a number of times. There is no doubt that Kristin is and will continue to be a "Difference Maker".
