Abrar Founas has demonstrated both dedication and leadership throughout her tenure at UM-Dearborn. She has acted as the Student Government Election Commissioner and as an Admissions Counselor, recruiting students in the Detroit area. She also served as Treasurer and Vice President of the Muslim Students Association. Abrar was selected as a participant in the Health Management and Policy Summer Enrichment Program at the U-M School Of Public Health. This opportunity allowed her to explore the field of health administration and meet some of the area’s top health care executives.
Through both professional and volunteer experiences, Abrar has been honing her skills and contributing to the community. She interned at Trinity Health in the Treasury and Tax Department working extensively on investment projects. Through volunteer work with Islamic Relief, she helped spearhead a project in Mali to build a school, community clinic, and maternity clinic. Abrar was named an Emerging Student Leader at UM-Dearborn. She plans on obtaining her Masters of Health Services Administration in the future.
