Mazen's Story
Mazen Hammoud, Ph.D., (’93 M.S.E.M.E.) focuses on environmental safety in his role as chief engineer for powertrain electrification at Ford Motor Co. His leadership ability allows him to oversee a large engineering organization that is responsible for fuel economy. For Mazen, it is all about figuring out how to create cleaner, more efficient powertrains. His leadership at Ford also is showcased through his involvement with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), where he served as chair of the Detroit chapter. And when he is not busy at work, Mazen volunteers with a number of community organizations, including United Way, Salvation Army and the American Cancer Society.
