I started my career at Deloitte and now work at General Motors. I am involved with the College of Business alumni affiliate and American Cancer Society.
For Justin Vasilevski, being a difference maker is all about attitude.
“Every day has its own challenges, and making a difference means having the perseverance and fearlessness to get through them,” he said. I strongly believe your attitude is a difference maker. Problems are a fact of life, but difference makers focus on solutions.”
Justin has walked the talk during his time at University of Michigan-Dearborn, providing solutions for a variety of extra-curricular organizations.
He was captain of the University’s men’s soccer team, helped start the Macedonian-American Student Association, and was active in Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
Justin was instrumental in the successful implementation of several financial training programs for SIFE. He also made a significant contribution to the team’s success at both the regional and national competitions.
“Justin is always willing to lend a hand. He has been coaching some of the newer coaches in SIFE, and I consistently see him on campus working with students and helping them,” said Mike Callahan, director of the College of Business’ internship program.
Off campus, Justin also found success. He completed three internships, two of which were in the prestigious joint internship program between Masco and Deloitte. His time there led to a full-time job offer from Deloitte, which he will begin after completing his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting.
“Having these internships has helped develop my professional skill set and has opened the door to invaluable resources,” he said. “I’m extremely thankful and aware of how fortunate I have been to have such great experiences.”
