Manall Farhat likes to keep busy.

Fueled by an Alternative Spring Break trip to Battle Creek, Mich., Manall decided to become more involved on campus – even though she already worked and attended school full-time.

Since her trip, she has served as vice president of communication for the American Marketing Association, helped coordinate Homecoming activities and joined Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the College of Business Executive Board.

“All of these projects have provided me with great experience,” she said. “At the end of the day, I believe my involvement with student organizations has allowed me to become a difference maker.”

Manall also makes time to give back to her community. She has participated in the University’s Martin Luther King Day of Service, Mother Teresa Day of Service and Make a Difference Day.

“Manall willingly takes on any challenge that she is afforded. She works well with the team, does what it takes to get the job done and provides support wherever it is needed,” said Mike Callahan, director of the College of Business’ internship program. “She personifies the idea of making a difference.”

Manall’s work off-campus is as well received as her work on campus. During her internship with Brose automotive supplier, she helped implement new initiatives within the warehouse management team. Her work got her noticed by the leadership team and earned her a job offer for a full-time position upon graduation.
