Matthew Keigher has set himself a formidable task: to help rebuild Michigan’s economy. “Considering that my career goal is to remain in Michigan and help restore our state to economic prominence, I clearly have many challenges waiting on the road ahead,” he says. “Yet, I cherish these opportunities and feel confident in my leadership abilities.”
Keigher has good reason to feel confident. As a student at UM-Dearborn, he achieved an outstanding academic record and garnered critical leadership experience. In addition to receiving the University of Michigan-Dearborn Dean’s Scholarship, the Bruce Klimek Memorial Accounting Scholarship, and the Allard Family Trust Scholarship, he has been named a James B. Angell Scholar and been awarded the William J. Branstrom Prize. Given his drive, determination and intelligence, there is no doubt that Matthew will achieve his goal of helping Michigan regain its footing.
