“I am a Difference Maker,” says Nahush Joshi, “because I would like to give others the same opportunities I have had.” Throughout his career at UM-Dearborn, Nahush has held true to these words. He has offered his time, talent, and energy to organizations that help others achieve their dreams. These include CRY (Child Rights and You), a non-profit that helps the underprivileged children of India secure food and education, and Asha for Education, a nonprofit that enables impoverished Indian children to get an education. Among other activities, he helped organize a Diwali (Indian festival) celebration to raise funds for Asha.
Nahush has also given back to UM-Dearborn. He served as recruiting chair of Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society) and Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society), and as a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). In explaining why he chose to become involved, Nahush says, “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to the community at large. For me, the best is being successful and also giving back.”
