What makes you a Difference Maker?
What makes me a Difference Maker is that I embody the "Dearborn Difference" through my leadership, involvement, and positive attitude. Within my sophomore year, I was elected SWE president and am currently the ASME president & SWE Vice president. My goal is to uplift myself and those around me to be the best version of themselves. I believe that everyone has something special to bring to the table and that instead of limiting someone, we should create an environment where others feel welcome to give their input. It has been my mission to provide as many opportunities as I can to the engineering community through workshops, recruitment, scholarships, and networking events. The University of Michigan-Dearborn has opened a door of opportunities to me and has helped me grow both as a person and a leader. I hope to continue to give back to a community that has given me so much. I am truly proud to be a Wolverine here at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Go Blue!

What is your dream career or goal?
I am currently a junior at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. After I graduate, I plan to continue my studies by earning an MBA. My career goal is to continue to expand my network and become a leader in the industry. This year, I hope to continue to work hard on my studies and to continue trying new things. My long-term goal is to someday apply my technical and business skills to hopefully start my own company or support a company.
What is your most defining moment?
My most defining moment at the UM-Dearborn was when I joined SWE and ASME organizations on campus. I got to interact with individuals that had experience in career/industry and learned a lot from them. By participating in these organizations, I was able to get a preview of what would be forthcoming in my career as an engineer. By joining, I was able to learn a plethora of diverse skills earlier. I wouldn't have been molded into the leader I am today without the amazing people I met. Thank you all!
