What makes you a Difference Maker?
I am a Chancellor's Scholarship and William J. Branstrom award recipient who has maintained a 4.0 GPA and will be attending the University of Michigan for law school in the fall. I am active in the University of Michigan- Dearborn community including being a member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity and previously serving as a pledge educator. Outside of school, I am a volunteer for the Michigan State Fair 5k, Honor Caddie at Edgewood Country Club, and worker at Suburban Landscape Supply. I am a marathon runner and am currently training for my third marathon in July. I have eaten four jars of Nutella in 28 minutes and 15 seconds.
Tell us about your leadership experience.
On campus I am a leader in the classroom, setting a positive example for other students and being an active student in discussions. I served as the pledge educator for Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity educating perspective members about the fraternity. Off campus, I am a leader in the community. I am an active volunteer for the annual Michigan State Fair 5k and have been a member of an amazing team helping to raise money for Military Families United. I also helped volunteer to make blankets for children through the organization Fleece and Thank You.
What is your dream career or goal?
I have always had a passion for learning as well as the power of language. My life goal is to receive my law degree and practice as an attorney. Eventually, I would love to give back to future generations as a professor. I am eligible to sit for the CPA exam and would like to one day receive that designation. I would like to one day hike all 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail.
What is your most defining moment?
My most defining moment at the University of Michigan-Dearborn would have to be joining Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. I am incredibly thankful for the personal and professional development that I have been provided through the organization. I am thankful that I was given the incredible opportunity to learn from such a diverse, driven, and passionate group of students at UM-Dearborn. I am very happy to be a member of such a kind and welcoming community.
